Joanna shares her thoughts about her earlier experiences in the UK , the four stages of the spiral and how to get more involved in the Work That Reconnects.

Joanna addressed an auditorium of 500+ folks to share her thoughts on Deep Time as our ally as we navigate the waters of late-stage capitalism.

Her books include Dharma and Development, Coming Back To Life, Mutual Causality in Buddhist Teachings and Systems Theory, and her memoir Widening Circles, as well as translations of Rilke's poetry. Jennifer Berezan is a renowned singer/songwriter whose work is informed by Buddhist and indigenous teachings as well as her adventures at the forefront of social change. Her concerts and recordings include Praises for the World and her most recent release In These Arms, a Song for All Beings, based on practices of loving kindness and compassion.
Since the Greeks, Heraclitus-flow and change but Parmenides' view won out: THINGS, matter, stuff, leads to power OVER. But systems view more modern-energy/mind flows, information flows more important view.

Many thousands of people around the world have participated in Dr Joanna Macy's workshops and trainings. Now 83 she continues her work helping people transform despair and apathy, in the face of overwhelming social and ecological crises, into constructive, collaborative action. It brings a new way of seeing the world, as our larger living body, freeing us from the assumptions and attitudes that now threaten the continuity of life on Earth.
